Friends of Dove House PTA

The Friends of Dove House School PTA (Parent Teacher Association) provides a valuable link between parents and teachers, to enrich our school community. The aim of a PTA is to encourage good relations between staff, parents, grandparents, family, friends and others associated with the school, to support the school and to advance the education of the pupils in it. The objectives of a PTA are; to organise fund-raising activities, to involve as many people as possible and to make the activities fun!

A Warm Welcome From Your PTA!

For a number of years Dove House Academy have been without a PTA, however this year the PTA has been relaunched and we are in desperate need of more volunteers.
Joining our PTA is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with the school, meet other parents and really make a difference!  We are a very friendly, enthusiastic group of parents and teachers and have the full support of our Head Teacher, Olly Parker.
We recently held a film night and a Summer Fayre which raised an astonishing £2750 and we hope to make these events a regular occurrence as well as all the other fundraising ideas we have, however to make this possible we need YOU!
If you or a member of your family would like to be part of our team either organising events, helping out on the day or in any other way we would love to hear from you.
On 15th September at 3.45pm we are having our next PTA meeting in school planning events for the next 6 months and if you can make it we would love to see you there.  However if you are unable to attend but would still like to be involved please email friends@dovehouseacademy.com

Just Giving Page

We have set up a Just Giving page raising funds for the outdoor facilities at Dove House School.

Being outside has such huge benefits for everyone. The outdoor areas of our school are in need of a little TLC. The Friends of Dove House School are raising funds for outdoor equipment. The students on the school council have all voted that they would like us to upgrade the adventure playground, provide sheltered social areas and new exercise equipment. They overwhelmingly decided that the outdoor facilities are not big enough, fun enough or interesting enough.

This may sound a bit daunting but it is so important that children get outside, burn off energy, socialise and have fun between lessons. It is also heartening to know that being outdoors is something that they value too so with your help we will do our very best to fulfill their dreams. If you can help in any way no matter how small we would very much appreciate it and so will the children.
