Safer Internet Day February 2018

Tuesday 6th February is Safer Internet Day (SID)

Tuesday 6th February is Safer Internet Day (SID) across the whole of the UK. It is a day to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology, especially among children and young people.

As a school we are want to encourage everyone to be aware how to better use the internet by being kind and respectful to others on line, by protecting their on line reputations (and those of others), and by seeking out positive opportunities to create, engage and share online.

We recognise that you as parents and carers play a crucial role in empowering and supporting children to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively. We hope that you find these websites useful in promoting safe on-line practise at home. At school this week pupils will receive a whole school assembly and be involved in tutor activities promoting e-safety. E-safety is high on our agenda at school and we will be continually addressing the subject throughout the year as a whole school strategy.
