Textiles
The curriculum is ambitious and designed to be accessible to all pupils. It is planned to cultivate their enjoyment, creativity and cultural capital of all students including the disadvantaged through opportunities for all at KS3 and through a choice of appropriate pathways at KS4.
There is a focus on life-long learning to prepare pupils for independent practical life skills, future pathways and community involvement.
The curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of our pupils and has a strong practical element which encourages pupils to gain independence using a range of tools and processes.
Pupils can continue Textiles at KS4; our aim is that Dove House learners leave us proficient in a range of skills and with a relevant external KS4 qualification suited to their ability and needs.
